Role
Senior Machine Learning and Deep Learning Scientists are responsible for working closely with quantitative finance researchers and quantitative traders to produce and revolutionize the future of trading and analytics on the Global markets. The post holder will research and develop novel, highly scalable deep learning algorithms, predictive models and applications to support data analysis on various extremely large datasets. The positions are based in either a core Research Lab or on specific Trading Teams and will focus on data analysis approaches at the extreme scale – high volume, high velocity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Research, design and implement novel, highly scalable Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms with focus on big analysis tasks.
Research, design and implement predictive algorithms to be used on the electronic markets
Strategy development for the field of ML and DL with focus on our lab’s applications, support in strategic decision making with regard to various problems.
Promote the research results across the firm for proprietary use in commercial application
Lead or participate in the development of related research proposals.
Promote collaborative research with interdisciplinary research team.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related discipline from an ivy league program
3+ year of ML and/or DL research experience with large data sets in academia or industry.
Worked with general ML libraries and toolkits
Experience with deep learning libraries
Experience with Recurrent Neural Networks and Deep Generative models
Experience with accelerators (GPU, Intel Xeon Phi) and high performance computing systems
Strong quantitative analysis, programming, and statistical modeling skills.
Strong track records of publication in top tier conferences / journals.
Good oral and written communication and teamwork skills.
